Warwick University Marks 60th Anniversary with Exclusive Media Event in Delhi

Posted on June 3, 2025

The University of Warwick celebrated its 60th anniversary with an exclusive media event at The Shangri-La in New Delhi on Saturday, marking six decades of academic excellence, research innovation, and global collaboration.

Senior leaders from the university, including Global Chief Communications, Marketing and Content Officer Ajay Teli and Director of Communications – Corporate Brand, Satnam Rana-Grindley, flew in from the UK to engage with Indian media and highlight Warwick’s growing international impact. The event showcased the university’s commitment to nurturing talent and strengthening cross-border partnerships.

A central theme of the celebration was the university’s longstanding ties with India, including a 25-year collaboration with the Tata Group, and its vibrant alumni network that continues to create change across industries and geographies.

Among the standout alumni is Mamta Marasini, founder and CEO of Roar Corp, a creative agency with offices in New Delhi and Kathmandu. A graduate of Warwick Business School with an MSc in Business with Marketing, Mamta has emerged as a bold voice in brand storytelling and experiential marketing.

Since its launch in November 2023, Roar Corp has quickly gained recognition for its strategic brand consulting, social media marketing, influencer campaigns, and event production. Under Mamta’s leadership, the agency has executed high-impact campaigns for global lifestyle brands such as Superdry, G Star Raw, Yamaha, and Mothercare.

Speaking at the event, Mamta shared how her Warwick experience shaped her journey. “I stepped into Warwick unsure of how to begin, but I walked out a changemaker. It gave me the clarity to pursue the service side of marketing and eventually take the leap to build my own agency,” she said.

Describing herself as the “Chief Lioness,” Mamta emphasised Roar Corp’s mission to blend technology, data, and storytelling into campaigns that move people and build meaningful brands. “Roar was built on pure passion and relentless hard work—no shortcuts, ever,” she said.

Her approach combines AI tools with deep human insight, delivering results that are both measurable and emotionally resonant. “Every project is rooted in a commitment to curating bold, thoughtful experiences that align with our clients’ goals,” she added.

Mamta credited her time at Warwick as the catalyst for her growth. “Warwick truly cleared the fog for me—the education, the peers, the challenges, all of it helped me understand what I wanted to do, and why.”

The university’s 60th anniversary event celebrated not only its past achievements but also the power of its global alumni community to shape the future. As Warwick looks ahead, leaders reiterated their focus on strengthening international partnerships, particularly in India, and championing education that empowers individuals to lead and innovate across borders.
