Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism partners with VFS Global for destination promotion in India, other key source markets

India a high-potential source market for Vietnam with strong growth momentum – 0.75 million travellers in 2025,0.49million in first six months of 2026


The Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VFS Global, the global leader in trusted technology services, empowering secure mobility for governments and citizens, to promote Viet Nam as a preferred tourism destination across key source markets, including India.

The MoU was signed in Hanoi on 6 August 2026 in the presence of Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman, Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, Vice Chairwoman, Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism; Mr. Nguyen Quy Phuong, Director of International Relations & Tourism Promotion Department, Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lan – Director, Digital Transformation Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Simon Peachey, Chief Operating Officer – China, Australasia & RCIS, VFS Global; Mr. Shrishen Muniandy, Country Manager – Viet Nam, VFS Global, and other dignitaries from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, and the British Embassy in Hanoi.

The partnership aims to enhance awareness of Viet Nam's tourism offerings and support the country's inbound tourism growth objectives through coordinated promotional activities. Under the agreement, Viet Nam's tourism destinations, experiences and travel opportunities will be showcased through VFS Global's extensive customer touchpoints, including Visa Application Centres (VACs), digital platforms, communication channels, information counters and digital displays in priority markets.

The collaboration will also include destination presentation programmes, participation in international tourism fairs, business networking initiatives, and engagement with tourism industry stakeholders, travel trade partners and strategic customers.

Viet Nam projects international tourist arrivals to grow by 15-18% annually, targeting 45-50 million visitors by 2030. In 2025, the tourism industry achieved encouraging and remarkable results. For the first time, Viet Nam welcomed more than 21 million international visitors. In 2026, Viet Nam aims to welcome 25-27 million international visitors.
