VFS Global Employees Unite for World Blood Donor Day, Contributing Over 200 Litres of Blood [Business[

Posted on August 3, 2026

In India, over 400 employees participated in the drive contributing more than 160 litres of blood.

VFS Global, the global leader in trusted technology services, empowering secure mobility for governments and citizens, marked World Blood Donor Day 2026 through blood donation drives across 18 cities globally, including 14 cities in India, bringing together more than 500 employees who contributed a total of 212 litres of blood.

The initiative was organised under Champions of Change, VFS Global's employee volunteering programme, and aligned with the global observance of World Blood Donor Day, held annually on 14 June. Led by the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Blood Donor Day seeks to encourage regular voluntary blood donation, raise awareness of its critical role in saving lives, and strengthen blood donation systems worldwide.

Through coordinated donation drives in partnership with local blood banks, employees came together to support local healthcare systems and help address the ongoing demand for blood and blood products used in surgeries, emergency care, and the treatment of chronic medical conditions.

Speaking about the initiative, Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer – South Asia, VFS Global, said, “At VFS Global, we believe that meaningful social impact begins with individual action. The enthusiastic participation of our employees reflects our values and efforts to supporting the communities where we live and work. Through Champions of Change, we continue to create opportunities for our people to contribute their time and skills to causes that matter. Across our global operations, we remain committed to fostering a culture of volunteerism both internally and externally, encouraging collective action that strengthens communities.”

The blood donation drives form part of VFS Global's broader efforts to foster a culture of volunteering and social responsibility, empowering employees to contribute to community well-being through meaningful, purpose-driven initiatives.
