Seventh consecutive quarter of YoY revenue growth; battery and lighting businesses drive performance

Eveready Industries India Limited (BSE: 531508 | NSE: EVEREADY) today announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. The Company reported continued top-line momentum, marking its seventh consecutive quarter of revenue growth, while maintaining stable EBITDA margins despite inflation in commodities and other input costs.

Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights

Consolidated revenue from operations stood at INR 407.7 crore (Q1 FY26: INR 374.1 crore), registering growth of 9 % YoY.

EBITDA stood at INR 61.5 crore (Q1 FY26: INR 56.1 crore), with EBITDA margin at 15.1 %, remaining stable YoY despite inflation in zinc, other raw materials and foreign-exchange-linked inputs.

Profit after tax stood at INR 37.0 crore compared with INR 30.2 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a growth of 22.3%.

Calibrated pricing actions, procurement/forex interventions and cost discipline helped to maintain profitability

Business and Strategic Highlights

Battery segment: Revenue grew by 11.9 %, led by strong alkaline battery performance and a recovery in carbon zinc batteries. Alkaline volumes increased by approximately 48%, while carbon zinc volumes returned to growth of approximately 1%.

Jammu alkaline facility: Commercial production has commenced at India’s only operational alkaline battery facility. The plant supports import substitution, manufacturing localization and longer-term cost and operating-leverage benefits as utilization scales up.

Flashlights: Rechargeable flashlights continued to register strong growth of over 20%, reflecting the ongoing consumer shift towards rechargeable products and their increasing adoption across urban usage occasions. However, the Segment's overall revenue declined by around 6.7%, primarily due to the delayed onset of the monsoon, which deferred seasonal demand and resulted in lower volumes of conventional battery-operated flashlights.

Lighting: The segment recorded 13.7% growth, supported by healthy volumes across LED bulbs, emergency lighting and accessories. Price erosion showed signs of moderating during the quarter.

New product development: Eveready continued to strengthen its position in the mosquito rackets category within the organized segment. The quarter also saw the launch of a rechargeable torch SHOR with the feature of an animal alarm for farm protection. The torch is designed to help farmers protect crops from animal intrusion through a powerful 100 decibel alarm combined with a red UV strobe light. Within the emergency portfolio the Company launched Xtra Bright LED bulb, offering up to 2X brighter illumination for a superior lighting experience during power outages.

“We continue to see healthy topline momentum across channels and key segments and expect this growth trajectory to continue. Commodity prices, input costs and currency movements remain key pressure points. We are closely monitoring macro developments and taking calibrated actions to protect profitability and maintain margin stability. At the same time, we remain focused on strengthening our product portfolio, expanding market presence and driving sustainable growth.” – Anirban Banerjee, Chief Executive Officer

“Margins remained broadly stable despite inflation in zinc and other key inputs, supported by calibrated pricing, forex management and cost discipline. As the Jammu alkaline facility scales up, localization and operating leverage should support efficiency. We remain focused on cash generation and further strengthening the balance sheet.” – Bibek Agarwala, Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer
