Bhubaneswar’s new gateway to global travel: VFS Global launches state-of-the-art Visa Application Centre in Odisha

·         Spanning approximately 3,000 sq. ft., the facility is centrally located and easily accessible by both public and private transport.

·         Operations will commence in the first phase for the following missions: the UK, Ireland, Austria, Estonia, Italy, Malta, Switzerland, Japan, Morocco, and Egypt.

·         Additional missions are planned to be introduced in the near future.

To cater to the growing demand for visas in Bhubaneswar and the Odisha region and to further enhance convenience for visa applicants, VFS Global, the global leader in trusted technology services, empowering secure mobility for governments and citizens, has announced the launch of its new, state-of-the-art Visa Application Centre in Bhubaneswar. This also marks VFS Global’s second Visa Application Centre in eastern India.

The centre was jointly inaugurated by the honourable Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi and Ms. Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer – South Asia, VFS Global. The ceremony was also attended by dignitaries from the diplomatic fraternity and Indian government, including dignitaries from Austria, Italy and Switzerland. The centre marks a significant step towards improving visa accessibility in the region and will greatly benefit residents of Odisha, who previously had to travel to Kolkata to submit their visa applications.

This spacious and state-of-the-art facility, equipped with contemporary amenities and services, is spread across approximately 3,000 sq. ft. and is designed to offer a comfortable and efficient application experience. In its first phase of operations, the centre will cater to travellers applying to the UK, Ireland, Austria, Estonia, Italy, Malta, Switzerland, Japan, Morocco, and Egypt, with additional client governments expected to be onboarded in the near future, further enhancing convenience and accessibility for applicants.

Located in the heart of Bhubaneswar, the centre offers excellent connectivity and can be easily accessed via both public and private transport.

With this launch, VFS Global continues to expand its footprint in India, where it currently offers visa services on behalf of 53 countries through a network of over 560 Visa Application Centres across 20 cities.
