More than 550 Divyangs arrived, 352 were measured and 101 operations were selected
A free operation check-up and Narayan Limb and Calipers measurement camp was organized at Golden Crown, Japanese Park, Rohini, Delhi on Sunday under the aegis of Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur. In the inaugural ceremony of the camp, Chief Guest National Thermal Power Corporation Managing Director Mahesh Kande, Triloknath Goyal and function President Patron Satyabhushan Jain, social worker Bhimsen Mittal, special guest famous storyteller Dayaluji Maharaj and NTPC Head Sangeeta, CS Dimpy lit the lamp.
Addressing a large number of Divyangs, their family members and respected members of Delhi present on this occasion, Chief Guest Director Mahesh said that I am overwhelmed to see the services of the institute. I congratulate the Institute's President Prashant Agarwal and the entire team for coming forward to help the Divyangs. Narayan Seva Sansthan's work of empowering the disabled is inspiring for the society. Patients from not only Delhi NCR but also from Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar and UP participated in the camp and benefitted from it. Satyabhushan Jain, who was presiding, said that the institute not only empowers the disabled physically, socially, economically and intellectually but also gives them a new life. This is the true Narayan Seva.
In the beginning, the institute's trustee and director Devendra Choubisa greeted the chief guests and guests on the stage in the Mewari tradition. The trustee also informed about the institute's free services like operation, Narayan limb implantation, providing food to 5000 people daily, running a free Narayan Children Academy School for the children of 600 financially incapable labourers, providing self-employment training to hundreds of disabled people in computer, mobile, sewing, mehndi and settling them down by mass marriage.
Giving information about today's camp, he said that 570 patients came. Disabled people from all age groups including children, adults, elderly and women took advantage of the camp. Relo Power India Private Limited has partnered with the institute as a CSR partner in organizing the camp. Camp in-charge Jatan Singh Bhati and Hari Prasad Laddha, while sharing the camp report, said that today the institute doctors and P&O team examined hundreds of people in the camp. While taking measurements, Narayan limbs were fitted for 210 disabled people and calipers for 141 people. Dr Shinde selected about 101 disabled patients for surgery. All of them will be operated free of cost. Patients not only from Delhi NCR but also from Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar and UP participated in the camp and benefited from it.
Dr Pravanjan Sahu said that the disabled people selected for casting and measurement will be made to wear Narayan limbs again in a camp in Delhi after about 2 to 3 months. These Narayan limbs manufactured by the institute are of good quality and are light in weight. They will be durable in use.
