Ambuja Cements, the cement and building materials company of the diversified Adani Portfolio, has revitalised the community library in Sikandarpur village, Bhagwanpur, Roorkee. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to strengthening rural educational infrastructure, promoting reading habits that nurtures curiosity, learning, and development in the community especially amongst children and youth.
Ambuja Cements’ CSR arm led a comprehensive upgrade of the unused library by repairing the space, installing new furniture, and stocking shelves with age-appropriate books and learning materials. The team worked closely with teachers, local leaders, and families to ensure the library became a vibrant, accessible space for children. The newly transformed facility was inaugurated by Mr. Sarabjeet Singh, Plant Head at Ambuja Cements, in the presence of enthusiastic students and community members.
