Ambuja Cements’ AMK Wins 18th Consecutive Overall Championship at Punjab State Special Olympic Games in Big School Category

·         Ambuja Cements-supported Ambuja Manovikas Kendra (AMK), clinches Overall Championship Trophy for 18th consecutive time at the Punjab State Special Olympic Games.

·         Twelve special athletes from the centre won a total of 24 medals, showcasing excellence across athletics and field events includes 100*4 relay race.

Ambuja Cements, the 9th largest building materials solutions provider globally and part of the diversified Adani Portfolio, continues to promote inclusive development through sports and education initiatives. Ambuja Cements-supported school for special education in Rupnagar, Punjab, Ambuja Manovikas Kendra (AMK), won the Overall Championship Trophy for the 18th consecutive time at the 26th Punjab State Level Special Olympic Games, held from 12–14 December 2025 at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.

The event saw participation from nearly 800 athletes representing 63 special schools across 23 districts of Punjab. A total of 12 athletes from Ambuja Manovikas Kendra competed in mandatory track and field events, delivering an outstanding performance.

The athletes secured 24 medals — 17 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze. Multiple gold medals were won by Dev Kumar, Bikramjit Singh, Dharampreet Singh, Armaan Singh Gill and Jashanpreet Kaur, reinforcing the centre’s consistent excellence.

The team was welcomed back with celebrations by staff and parents. The achievement reflects the athletes’ dedication, structured training and Ambuja Cements’ continued support in empowering children with special needs.
